45 came to a standstill in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic. The next course is planned for April 2021. A new addition to this Swiss foundation’s portfolio is a small recycling enterprise in Liberia focusing on collecting plastic. Fair Recycling is supporting the business in developing a sustainable business model and training its workers. The sustainability of our operations was also endorsed in 2019 by the rating organisation EcoVadis, which awarded us an international gold medal. It awarded us 65 out of a possible 100 points for our corporate responsibility. That puts the Girsberger Group in the top 5% for the overall assessment of Corporate Social Responsibility, in the top 4% for its environ- mental measures and the top 3% for sustainable procurement, out of all the companies in the furniture-making sector all over the world that have been certified by EcoVadis.
